July 25, 1766 - Hughes
To be Sold at Gloucester, court-house, on Wednesday the 6th of August
next, Three hundred acres of Land, whereon the courthouse now stands, a
storehouse, an ordinary, and several other houses; the said place is well known
to be very convenient for a publick house, from the number of Gentlemen who
resort thither every court, as also for travelers. The subscriber has a proper
right to the same, may be seen at the day of sale; the terms and payment will
likewise be agreed on at that day. John Hughes. N.B. At the same time will be
exposed to sale about 20 Virginia born Slaves, chiefly young.
